The Matthew 25:40 Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to building community and caring for those in need in Garland Texas. We believe many of our homeless friends just need a break - a hand up - to end the cycle of homelessness. We work with other non-profit organizations and churches in the Garland and DFW area to build up our homeless friends by providing the assistance necessary to help them find housing, jobs, meals, clothing, and other resources required to lead a productive, healthy life. Our services (in coordination with other organizations) includes recovering identification (birth certificates, Social Security cards, etc.), teaching job skills (resume building, interviewing, expectations of an employer), assisting with income while they attend job skill training and get certificates, locating housing opportunities, life skills (budgeting, relationships, responsibilities, making the best decisions), grooming, healthcare, etc. We also provide emergency housing for a seriously ill homeless friend or a family with small children.
We are a non-profit who operates primarily on the good will of others who believe as we do, that we are all family working together under God's tutelage and mercy to take care of each other. Everyone deserves an opportunity to work toward a better life. Won't you join our cause and make a difference in the lives of our Garland homeless and near homeless friends? We welcome donations of all sorts, including financial, time, resources, and ideas!
